Any Tricks To Removing Inside Door Panel On 2005 Nissan Titan?
From Nissan Forum:Any tricks to removing inside door panel on 2005 Nissan Titan? I'll be replacing the front door glass on my buddy's 2005 Nissan Titan. I'll have the truck this weekend but haven't seen it yet. Are there any tricks to getting the trim panel off? There's always a catch with the newer vehicles. My Tundra was a PITA until I got advice about the door latch bezel. Thanks
Answer: Lift up on the window switch pull out the re tangle gray part on the hood pull screws under that and under the square cover with a Philips is another Philips the door panel easily comes off after that. Just cleaning out all the broken glass can be messy.
Why Does My 2005 Nissan Titan With A 5 Speed Transmission Get Worse Gas Mileage Than My 89 Suburban 350?
From Nissan Forum:why does my 2005 Nissan titan with a 5 speed transmission get worse gas mileage than my 89 suburban 350? 2005 Nissan titan 5.6 liter 5 speed transmission electric fans and its a lot lighter I average 13 miles to the gallon in town driving. I have a 1989 Chevy suburban 350 that gets 14 in town and it only has a 3 speed transmission. why does the Nissan get such poor gas mileage?
Answer: Nissan is rated at 307 hp Suburban at around 189 hp Titan has two rear end ratios ones with trans temp on the tachometer are BIG TOW versions. That truck is designed to pull 9,500 pound trailers. My heavy duty trailer package 1980 454 Suburban had 411 rear ratio and got 10 mpg around town and 14 highway it weighed 8,300 pounds. All depends on how it is driven; Most Titan owner report better mileage than you get. I would have your front O sensors checked (nissan) calls them air fuel ratio sensors. There are new and improved AF sensors. 2007 titan added variable camshaft timing and it improved the power to 317 and did not hurt the efficiency. Actual horsepower for the titan power plant is around 357 hp. 2009 is the last Titan however Armada lives on for now. I like the simplicity of a Chevy small block as compared to the 4 camshaft 32 valve Titan motor you should see what that motor does with a supercharger on it.
2005 Nissan Titan Gear Shifter Getting Stuck In Park But Only Occasionally?
From Maintenance & Repairs Forum:2005 Nissan titan gear shifter getting stuck in park but only occasionally? 2005 Nissan titan gear shifter getting stuck in park but only every once in a while. I checked the fourth fuse down on the right as well as the connection of all the wires under the steering wheel column per the advise of some on line forum. Fuse was good and connections were good. Anyone have any other ideas cause the shifter recall was for the 2004 model. Any advice would be great
Answer: sometimes depends on how you park like if on a incline and do not set parking brake before releasing foot brake. this will set pressure against the transmission parking pin making it difficult to release.

Who Owns A Nissan Titan And How Do You Like Your Truck?
From Nissan Forum:Who owns a Nissan Titan and how do you like your truck? My husband and I own a 2005 Nissan Titan LE that we just purchased last summer, and we just love it! It has the Flow master dual exhaust, which is kick ass rumblim! It also has full leather heated seats, the GAPS navigation system built in, the Rockford stereo system, the factory spray on bed liner with the Uni-track system. It has lots of power and we think it is just an awesome truck! It really is a tough competitor to the Dodge, Chevy, and Ford trucks.
Answer: I bought a 2005 Titan XE and so far, I'm very pleased with it. So far, no mechanical problems at 60,000 miles and the only maintenance I've had to do is oil changes. What I really like about the Titan is that a V-8 and extended cab (King Cab) are standard. Another feature I like is the 5-speed automatic with manual shift mode, and the low tire pressure warning system, also standard features. Inside, the cabin is roomy and quiet for a truck. The ride is good, and the steering has a nice feel to it. The stock exhaust rumble is noticeable and pleasant. Once broken in, the Titan gets respectable fuel mileage. With almost K miles, I'm getting 19.5mpg on the highway and 16 in the city. My last Chevy truck got worse mileage than that, while making almost HP less than the Titan's HP. Titans got a bad reputation from the 04 models and early 05's. Among the big problems were brakes and rear axles, all of which are fixed on the newer models. I don't care who the manufacturer is, you are going to have first year bugs. I have had a few rattles, but the dealer took care of it. You just cannot beat the power of a Titan. New from the factory, the ECU limits the power until around K miles. After that, it really opens up. A Titan KC will run even with a Dodge He mi, although the he mi is rated with more hp. HP isn't everything. There is an aftermarket of performance parts for the Titan. Up Rev can tune your ECU for additional performance. We're not talking about 10 or HP, we're talking about enough power to drop 0-60 times by a full second. Stock, a Titan will run 0-60mph in 7.4 seconds, with a good driver. With the Up Rev tune, expect 0-60 in 6.5 seconds or less. In addition, headers and CAI's are available for the Titan for even more power gains. I've seen a few Titans running mid 13's in the 1/4 mile. That's corvette (non Z06) territory. For those with the money, a supercharger is available from Still en. With a supercharger, the Titan can easily put down 400+hp to the rear wheels, putting it in Lightning territory. Along with those mods, I would recommend the Detroit True Tr ac, which gives you psi like performance and makes the rear axle nearly indestructible. If I had to buy another truck today, the Titan would be at the top of my list. The new Tundra with the 5.7L is going to be really nice, but I bet it will be way more expensive than the Titan. Before I bought my Titan, I have owned only domestic trucks. The biggest problem with the domestic trucks are the transmissions, Dodge being the worst, and various leaks. I took a chance with Nissan, and it will be hard to pull me back to the domestic trucks, unless it's a Dramas HUD 2500 ;-)
