What Would Be The Best Way To Super Charge An 89 Signature Series Town Car With A Stock 5.0L?From Lincoln Forum:
What would be the best way to super charge an 89 Signature Series Town Car with a stock 5.0L? It's a bone stock 89 signature series town car with an automatic tyranny and a stock 5.0L V. What steps should I take to super charge it?
Answer: It is actually best to not super charge but first do an engine swap from the stock 5.0 to the 5.0HO (High Output) motor and then star bolting things on. The only parts you need to initially swap for the HO conversion is a HO motor (pretty cheap since they were in 'stangs) and a computer out of a Lincoln Mark VII. Read this article for more info: http://www.lincolnsonline.com/tech/00066.html This is a great resource for any other questions you may have as well. I also drive an '89 Signature Series and I feel your pain about HP just not being enough. Hope this helps!
What Would You Guys Do If A Professor Gives You A 89 As Your Grade For The Semester? From Adolescent Forum:
What would you guys do if a professor gives you a 89 as your grade for the semester? Like you had 89 as your final average for the class, that would show up as a B on your transcript. I would be so pissed, I would actually contact the dean and make an appointment to fight for an A! It's only one point. What would you do? This hasn't actually happened to me, but it has happened to a few of my friends.
Answer: If I tried really hard and got an 89 I'd just ask the teacher to move it up (which most of my teachers will do anyways if you are a hard worker) but if I didn't try in the class and got an 89 I'd just be pissed because it's so close and try better next time.
What Kind Of Housing Assistance Is Available For An 89 Year Old Man?From Renting & Real Estate Forum:
What kind of housing assistance is available for an 89 year old man? This old man is 89 years old. No money, no pension. This man can't get a reverse mortgage because he took a home loan to pay medical bills many years ago. He is going to lose his house to foreclosure. He is still healthy, just really old. What kind of assistance can he get? He lives in Montcalm, NJ.
Answer: Are you certain he cannot get a reverse mortgage? You would only need about 50% equity at 89 yrs old. Other than that, I would speak to an elder law attorney to qualify him for Medicaid and assisted living.
How Do I Find Out What Size Engine I Have On My 89 Porsche 944?From Porsche Forum:
How do I find out what size engine I have on my 89 Porsche 944? I just purchased an 89 Porsche 944, but don't know how to find whether it's a 2.5L or a 2.7L engine. I have looked on the engine and cannot find anything stating the engine size. Please, can someone tell me where I can locate this info?
Answer: The 89's were 2.7: "In 1989 the 'S' designation was dropped from the 944 Turbo S, and all 944 Turbos featured the 'S' package as standard. The regular 944's displacement was increased to 2.7 L."
Can A 89 Year Old With A Home And Good Credit History Get A Business Loan? From Credit Forum:
Can a 89 year old with a home and good credit history get a business loan? My grandmother is 89 and she really wants to open a business, she still hasn't retired yet and shes still very strong woman, would it be possible for her to get a business loan to help me start a business? she has her own home & a very good credit history would this be possible for her?
Answer: Generally no. And I will explain why. Banks don't like to make business loans to elderly people because their longevity (life span) is obviously running shorter. What I have personally witnessed is that an older person (man or woman) would get the loan and then die within a few years. Then the bank has to chase after the estate to try to get the remaining funds paid back. And it can get very complicated. About the only way to secure such a loan would be to also have a life insurance policy on the borrower as collateral. HOWEVER, the premium payments on a life insurance policy at age 89 would be astronomical.
What Would You Think Of A 27 Year Old Woman Being Friends With A 89 Year Old Woman? From Friends Forum:
What would you think of a 27 year old woman being friends with a 89 year old woman? What would you think of a 27 year old woman being friends with a 89 year old woman? These 2 women are not lesbian and they are not related by marriage or blood. One lives in Vancouver, the other lives at the top of British Columbia near the Yukon border. They are only friends through phone and e-mail only. Do you think its weird of 2 women of opposite ages and who live at opposite ends of the province to friends weird?
Answer: What? No it is not, I think its sweet that a 27 year old woman is friends with a 89 year old woman. I think there's nothing unusual about that type of friendship :) Its not like you have to be friends with people almost the same age as you.

Does Anyone Know A Quick Easy Way To Solve Partial Fractions And Integrals On Ti-89 Calculator? From Mathematics Forum:
Does anyone know a quick easy way to solve partial fractions and integrals on ti-89 calculator? I just recently bought a ti-89 and I'm looking for websites that explains how to use my new calculator for calculus problems? Also, if anyone has any web links to software that will help me solve calculus problems.
Answer: most integrals are easily solved on the ti-89. when your at the main screen, pull down the Calv tab (F3) then enter the expression you wish to integrate in the form EXPR,VAR[,LOW,UP] for example (x^2,x) or for the area between x = 1 and 2 (x^2,x,1,2) I'm not as sure for something that will do all partial fractions but one method that seems to work is the expand() function under the algebra folder(F2) I tried it on 2 and seems to have worked so the form is (EXPR[,VAR]) just type in expand((x-1)/((3x-5)*(x-3)) and for combining partial fractions use the factor function also under the algebra folder. There are a lot of programs to help with calculus problems on WNW.TiCalc.org and on education.ti.com but you'll need a ways to upload them to your calculator.
How Do I Program My Ti-89 From The Computer? From Programming & Design Forum:
How do I program my TI-89 from the computer? I need to be able to type up the program on the computer before transferring it to the TI-89. Please be specific, and link me to whatever I need to download because I haven't been getting clear answers.
Answer: I haven't specifically used this, but it supposedly supports TI-89, TI-92, TI-92+ and TI Voyage 200. You should be able to write the program on your computer first, then use your transferring software (whatever came with your calculator) to send it. http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/300/30032.html Sorry I couldn't be more of assistance, but unfortunately I do not own that particular calculator.
How Is Hwy 89 In Utah And AZ To Travel? From Other - United States Forum:
How is hwy 89 in Utah and AZ to travel? We are planning a trip to Zion and Bryce Canyons this Sept. I am wondering if hwy 89 is a good hwy to travel pulling a 30 ft Th wheel. Map Quest says to take that hwy all the way to Flagstaff AZ. Is it a 2 lane hwy or 4 lane? Is it highly traveled?
Answer: It's your lucky day. I've lived in the area and driven every single mile of that trip in every month of the year. For the most part US 89 is a good 2/3 lane road that is more well traveled from the US /US 89 jct and south then it is to the north .. The only exception would during boating season weekends when residents of the Phoenix Metro area tow their boats up to Page/Lake Powell. US 89 does have a couple of tricks to driving it and the most important one is exercising extreme caution when passing , being passed by a vehicle that's moving in your direction and being in the "passing lane " of a vehicle that's coming towards you. For much of it's length fuel and clean restrooms can be hard to find Northbound from Flagstaff,Cameron, Page and Kan ab UT are all good pit-stops The stretch from Kan ab to Bryce is high and does get subject to crosswinds as does most of the Navajo reservation As far as up climbing and down climbing goes ; You have a reasonably gentle up hill run to the Sunset Crater turn off http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M597-6lhKrg Then it's 7% downhill to the Pin yon pines ,it flattens out all the way to a spot that is 2 miles north of the US 89 A turn-off >climbs steeply to the top of the mesa that Page is built on Over the dam bridge around the lake and then as it nears Kan ab it picks up a bit of altitude again Personally this alternate routing to Kan ab is one of my favorite roads in America Rather than head up the switchbacks to Page ,instead make a left onto US 89 A Cross the Navajo Bridge and then make a right to Lees Ferry proper, dip your toes in the Rio http://www.nps.gov/glca/historyculture/navajobridge.htm Then head back to US 89 A make a right, under the Vermilion Cliffs Up the steep switchbacks to Jacob Lake and then downhill to Fredia AZ and the meeting w/US 89 safe trip
