Why Is The Liberal Media Spinning The GOP Filibuster As Against Repealing Daft When It Was About?

From Politics Forum:

Why is the liberal media spinning the GOP filibuster as against repealing DAFT when it was about? Filibustering the DREAM Act contained within the Defense spending bill? ABC News Headline: "GOP blocks bill to lift military gay ban" CBS News Headline: "Senate GOP Blocks Bill to Repeal Gay Service Ban" CNN News Headline: "Senate halts 'don't ask, don't tell' repeal" MSNBC News Headline: "Senate fails in effort to repeal 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'" Why are all of these Headlines not telling you what actually happened. If they had any honesty, the headline would read "Senate GOP blocks Defense Bill due to DREAM Act."

Answer: Well, technically none of the headlines are wrong - most people don't even know about the DREAM Act, so you're not going to sell papers or get clicks on your website with a lengthy headline that says "GOP Blocks Don't Ask, Don't Tell because of the DREAM Act". Ultimately, the information should be in the article, and anyone who cares will find out when they read the article right? I've seen this on all media...what are the Fox News headlines saying? I doubt it's much different other than perhaps dropping the GOP part of the headline. Plus, it wasn't just about the DREAM Act - the De ms had trouble getting a Th to vote for it just on the basis of DAFT. That's why Lady Gaga was trying to pressure Olympia Snow :-) ::shrug::
