Roughly 28.5 miles and the drive is usually 39 minutes by car. How long would it take the FedEx truck to get here with all those other delivery stops? The truck left the facility at 6:44 this morning BTW.

Answer: Normally, they do the businesses first, and do not even start on the homes until after 10:30, sometimes not until after 3. However, on Saturday, most businesses are closed. Well, it's already noon in MA, and I don't think they work past 7 p.m., except at Christmas time, so and they need 40 minutes to get back to the FedEx facility after they deliver to you, so they have to deliver within the next 6 hours or so. Probably. The distance is not really the issue. The truck may only need 39 minutes to get to Revere, but once it gets there, it may take all day to deliver to all the houses there, so it could be late when it gets to you.

Answer: The FedEx driver will have a shipping label for each box, so yes, they'll know how many to expect. If the label (or labels) will expire, call the school and ask them to cancel the original labels and re-order new ones. It won't cost the school anything extra to do that. You can call 800-GO FEDEX to find out about dropping off the packages before the labels expire.

Answer: You should be able to call 1-800-go-fedex and have the package placed ON HOLD. Then, go to the station and bring a form of ID that shows your name (if it's your package, if not you can't pick it up) and that ID should have the same address that is on the package. As for finding the station's address, ask the same customer service rep. BTW, I quit there a few months ago. Best decision of my life. It's a hell hole of a company; a soulless corporation.

Answer: FedEx is by far one of the hardest airlines to get hired at and for good reason... almost every airline pilot would love to work there. The pay and job stability are very good there. If you want to become a pilot for FedEx there is only one single thing that really matters, and that is knowing pilots at FedEx. Now, I don't just mean that you met a FedEx pilot once in a jump seat. I mean, you have to know FedEx pilots that have not only flown professionally with you but who would also write letters of recommendation. One of them has to sponsor you, and a FedEx pilot can only sponsor one candidate per year (at least, that's how it used to be) so it generally has to be a very good contact. You will also need to meet their minimums, which most likely includes at least 1000 PIC turbine time. I know several guys who went to FedEx. None of them were necessarily perfect pilots. They were average guys, with no more than a few thousands hours. They did, however, all have very good contacts there.

Answer: all of the above, it's best (and cheapest) to have it sent to the local FedEx station to begin with, if you have the tracking number you can also request (online if I remember right) to hold at the local station. Sending it to the local station also save the $3 residential delivery fee. If it has already been sent they may tag you with a address change fee. You normally need to have a picture ID to pick up something at a FedEx station.
