300 J Of Work Are Required To Fully Drive A Skate Into The Ground. If The Average Resistive Force On The Skate?
From Physics Forum:300 J of work are required to fully drive a skate into the ground. If the average resistive force on the skate? 300 J of work are required to fully drive a skate into the ground. If the average resistive force on the skate by the ground is 721 N, how long is the skate?
Answer: Work is force x distance. 300 J = 721 N * L where L is distance in meters (m). Recall that J == N*m L = 300[N*m]/721[N] = .416 m The STAKE is .42m long.
If I An J Are Two Perpendicular Unit Vectors Then What Is The Magnitude Of Ai+Bj?
From Mathematics Forum:If I an j are two perpendicular unit vectors then what is the magnitude of ai+bj? If I an j are two perpendicular unit vectors then what is the magnitude of ai+bj?
Answer: Because I and j are perpendicular AI and Bk are also perpendicular. Therefore, AI and Bk form the legs of a right triangle. || AI + Bk || = sq rt (|| AI || ^ 2 + || Bk || ^ 2) = sq rt (a^2 + b^2)

How Do I Cut Aluminum J Channel Mirror Trim?
From Decorating & Remodeling Forum:How do I cut aluminum j channel mirror trim? I am using aluminum j channel for a decorative trim around several bathroom mirrors. I tried using a miter saw with a metal abrasive blade, but the aluminum melts, and the edges are awful. My plan is to miter the top corners and butt the lower ones. Any suggestions about how to cut these things? Thanks John
Answer: They'll cut cleaner if you cut it by hand with a hack saw. Cleanup the edges with some sand paper. Or, if the J channel is thin, use a 60 tooth carbide trim blade in your miter saw. I've done both.
