How Does The Macy's Employee Discount Work? From Financial Services Forum:
How does the Macy's employee discount work? I just got a job at Macy's...they haven't explained the employee discount to me yet, so I need to know. They pay practically nothing (this is by far the lowest I've been paid in my life), and if the discount isn't good I might not go to training. Do I need to use my Macy's credit card? What departments don't get discounts? Can I use the discount at sister stores? I've previously read that you need to have the credit card to get the discount. I know it's 20% but it doesn't include all departments. If Coach and Moved aren't included, I'm out of there.
Answer: I worked at Macy's to and the pay was horrible. the discount works likes this u have the credit card and u can use it anywhere in the store and they take 10% off of your monthly bill.
Question About Working At Macy's And Being A Full Time Student? From Other - Careers & Employment Forum:
Question about working at Macy's and being a full time student? Hi I just started working at Macy's, during the interview I told gem I can only work weekends because I have school and Wednesdays after 1, they understood and I got the job. I'm a flex employ re so I check a website for my schedule and they gave me a bunch of hours on Friday. Someone who USSR to work there said I could leave school at my regular time ND get there as soon as I could and that would be okay, has anyone heard something like this? Or knows if she is right?
Answer: Hello! You should try to track the time it will take you to get from school to Macy's and then make sure your boss knows what hours you can work. If you have a scheduling conflict, you should let your boss know as soon as possible. Best of luck to you!

I used to work at Macy's and quit now I want to work at Bloomingdales? I used to work at Macy's about two years ago and quit and now I want to work for Blooming dales. I think Blooming dales is better working environment and pays more. Do you think they would hire me?
Answer: Macy's OWNS Bloomingdale's. By quitting one company, you quit them both, and probably can't get hired at either one, unless you left them on REALLY good terms. >

How Does The Quality Of Hermes Bags Differ To Bags That Are Sold At Macys? From Fashion & Accessories Forum:
How does the quality of Hermes bags differ to bags that are sold at Macys? Okay, Hermes bags, as we know, vary from $5000 to 6-digit prices. Compare this to the quality of bags at a very high-end department store such as Macy's. They sell Kathy Van Leeland, Fossil, Guess, Coach and Dione and Burke...but these are great quality already....and some of them are sold for under $150 or even $100 (KathyVZ)... what do you think?
Answer: I don't think the quality would vary all that much. The thing about Hermes is they never go out of style. You could buy one and carry it for 10 years and still look current and up to date. Just look for bags at Macy's that have an Hermes shape.
Can I Return A Food Processor To Macy's After 5 Months Without A Box?From Other - Electronics Forum:
Can I return a food processor to Macy's after 5 months without a box? I received a food processor/blender for my birthday 5 months ago and I noticed that when I use it, which is seldom, it has a very sharp loud noise. I have seen reviews for it on line and it seems that others have encountered the same. I don't even want to use it because of the horrible noise. Can I return it to Macy's without a box? I used it at most 5 times and it was only the processor part where the bowl was easily cleaned. The item looks Brand New. I have the original receipt.
Answer: "Most Macy's.com items can be returned to a Macy's store, with original proof of purchase, within 180 days (6 months) of purchase. Read items with special guidelines for information about restrictions on store returns, as well as other restrictions." Food processors don't count as "items with special guidelines" and their policy makes no mention of original packaging. If the item is defective, at this point, chances are they would refer you to the manufacturer. If the item works well but is obviously used they might not take it back on that account. If you have all parts and it's not used (or at least look like it) I would think the answer would be yes.
