Is It Possible For For The Two O-O Bonds In O To Have Different O-O Bond Lengths Or Bond Energies?

From Chemistry Forum:

Is it possible for for the two O-O bonds in O to have different O-O bond lengths or bond energies? Is it possible for for the two O-O bonds in O to have different O-O bond lengths or bond energies? O has one double and one single bond. The bond energies for double and single bonds are different so would they be different or is there a different explanation? -How would you determine the distance between the two terminal oxygen atoms on the ozone molecule? I know that it is bent but how would you know the angle for the molecule and how far apart the atoms are? Thanks in advance!

Answer: Yes, the two bonds are different lengths. And the difference is expressed in the energies. The freezing and boiling points can approximate the bond angle, as can its behavior in rapidly changing EM fields (magnetic moment). Not sure how they arrive at bond length. What Is The Bond Energy Of A Single O-O Bond?

From Chemistry Forum:

What is the bond energy of a single O-O bond? Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) contains O-O single bonds. The bond energy of this bond is 204 kJ/mol. a. What is the bond energy of a single O-O bond? b. How much energy (in kJ) would be required to break a single O-O bond? c. What wavelength of light does this correspond to? What region of the spectrum is this? d. Why do you think hydrogen peroxide is stored in brown bottles?

Answer: a. 204 / = 204 / 6.022 * 10^23 = 3.388 * 10^-22 J or 3.388 * 10^-19 J b. 3.388 * 10^-22 kJ c. E = h.ν. Therefore ν = E/h = 3.388 * 10^-19 (J) / 6.626 * 10^-34 (J.s) = 5.112 * 10^14 (s^-1) d. The brown bottles filter the high frequency UV light, preventing degradation of the hydrogen peroxide by breaking down the O-O bond.

I'M Going To Become A Waitress For The First Time O_O?

From Other - Food & Drink Forum:

I'm going to become a waitress for the first time O_O? I've never been one and I don't know what to expect.... The only thing I don't feel comfortable about it being able to hold the drink trays and the food trays like 2-3 to a arm o.o and remembering what drinks people have gotten will these things come to me after a while or what :] experience stories are much welcomed and helpful

Answer: I always had a trick for knowing which soft drinks were diet and which were regular. I'd put 2 straws in the diet drinks and just 1 straw in the regular. When you have different wines (you definitely don't want to guess!) - place a cocktail napkin under each glass and jot down what each one is (i.e. Merlot, cab SUV., etc...) The napkin trick works for beers too (i.e. Lite, Bud, Heine, etc...) Mixed drinks, you can use different garnishes (i.e. 2 limes for rum & Bacardi, 1 lime for diet & Morgans, 3 cocktail straws for 7&7, 2 cocktail straws for CC&7, etc...) you'll develop a system. I ALWAYS WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN!!!! You can be leisurely waiting on 2 tables and be fine with memory, then get double or triple sat with large parties and your brain will go blank!!!! Be sure to write down meat temps, sides, special instructions, dressings on salads. You'll develop your own shorthand for this. I would start with one person and go around the table clockwise. That makes it easy to remember who ordered what. I would do this even if I had to stop people from ordering that were going out of turn! I would enter the order in the same order as how it would be dropped off at the table. That way, every things ready to go when they "tray" your food. Its also easier for people to "run" your food if they know you started with "the big bald guy" and went clockwise.... Carrying trays is easy. The biggest part is to get to know the menu and the cook times. Any pork orders or well-done steaks need to get to the kitchen ASAP - they'll take a while to cook and the customers will get impatient - particularly if things back up and you have an item with a 30-minute cook time and 20 other orders ahead of it. Also, people WILL always ask you crazy questions about food prep (is this fried, what oil is it fried in, is it deep fried, is it breaded, is your salmon farm-raised, how many ounces in this steak, how thick is your fillet Mignon, does this have onions, is this vegetarian, what broth is used, etc...) Save alto of time by getting to know the menu as well as you can and talking to the chefs. If you guess and you guess wrong, then someone gets angry because their order is not what they expected - you lost a tip. If you have to ask the chef and they're busy with a full house, you'll get backed up and may loose several tips as your customers wait and people wonder where you are. If in doubt, I would tell people that I didn't recommend that item today ("its a little tough", or "we've had a few complaints about that one") and steer them towards something else you're more familiar with. Think ahead of people-skills. Some people are in a hurry, some don't like company, some want to chat.... Read your customers and give them what they want. Never make people wait. If they're in a rush, drop the ticket at their table shortly after you drop the food (so they can pay and get it taken care of without having to wait for you - they appreciate that). I always would suggest that I drop the ticket shortly after the food to avoid any waits - that way they didn't think I was rushing them out. Make friends with the other servers and cooks, and take good care of the bartenders and busboy when you "tip out". If they know you're not cheap with them, they'll make your drinks and turn around your tables quicker (then you get bigger tips!). Being friends with the other servers and cooks means they're more likely to help you out when (and I say when because you WILL) you get stuck.... Good luck and if you do a good job you can make fantastic money - but it is TOUGH WORK (alot of people don't realize that!).

¯\(º_O)/¯ Humans Are At The Top Of The Food Chain, So Why Try To Make Yourselves Vegan Or Vegetarian?

What Does It Mean If You Are Coughing Up B L O O D?

From Other - Health Forum:

What does it mean if you are coughing up B L O O D? A couple of days ago, a really good friend of mine woke up and he was coughing up b l o o d. If it helps, he doesn't drink, smoke, or do . His parents took his to the hospital and they couldn't find anything wrong with him, there was no b l o o d in his lungs or anything. They said that if it happens again then he should come back. This left me REALLY worried. What could be wrong with him? Is there nothing wrong at all, should I even be worried. My mom said that maybe he had bronchitis or something, but he hasn't been sick or hoarse or anything. What do y'all think could be wrong with him. I mean I find it a little fishy that a perfectly normal, healthy, teenage boy just start coughing up b l o o d out of the blue. Ya ll, please be respectful and no jokes just to get two points, this is my friend and I really care about him.

Answer: Obviously I'm not going to tell you he needs a doctor because hes already had one ....there can be a number of reasons for this. 1) Bronchitis is an abnormal destruction and dilation (widening) of the large airways. A person may be born with it (congenital bronchiectasis) or may acquire it later in life as a result of another disorder. 2) Bronchitis is an inflammation of the main air passages to the lungs. Bronchitis may be short-lived (acute) or chronic, meaning that it lasts a long time and often recurs 3)Cystic fibrosis (CF) is caused by a defective gene which tells the body to produce abnormally thick and sticky fluid, called mucus. This mucus builds up in the breathing passages of the lungs and the pancreas, the organ that helps to break down and absorb food. This collection of sticky mucus results in life-threatening lung infections and serious digestion problems. The disease may also affect the sweat glands and a man's reproductive system. 4) Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lungs caused by an infection. Many different organisms can cause it, including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. 5) Pulmonary edema is usually caused by heart failure. As the heart fails, pressure in the vein going through the lungs starts to rise. As the pressure increases, fluid is pushed into the air spaces (alveoli). This fluid interrupts normal oxygen movement through the lungs, resulting in shortness of breath. Pulmonary edema may be caused by damage directly to the lung, such as that caused by poisonous gas or severe infection. Lung damage and a build up of body fluid is also seen in kidney failure. 6) Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious bacterial infection caused by Bacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis). The lungs are primarily involved, but the infection can spread to other organs.
