Is It Okay To Apply At Two Different Old Navy Stores?

From Other - Careers & Employment Forum:

Is it okay to apply at two different Old Navy stores? There are two Old Navy stores near where I live. I already apply to one store on line, but the other store that is closer to me wasn't listed on line. Should I try to apply at that store in-person or just wait to hear from someone from the other store?

Answer: Old Navy applications are only taken on line, so it won't help you much to go there and apply in person. That's strange that the ND store wasn't listed on line. Is it open yet? If it's not open, call the other store and ask the manager who you should contact to apply there since it wasn't available on line. Another option you have is to call the store you applied at and explain to the manager that you wanted to work at the other location b/c it's closer for you, and they could possibly email your information to the other store's manager. Whenever applicants come into my store, the manager doesn't really talk to them - they will refer them to the website without talking to you first. Before they can consider you for employment, you can have to pass a series of questions, mostly about loss prevention and your reaction to employee theft, honesty, etc. (you already completed this once if you already applied for a store).

Can You Check Your Work Schedule For Old Navy At A Different Store Than The One You Work In?

From Corporations Forum:

Can you check your work schedule for Old Navy at a different store than the one you work in? I forgot to check my schedule, but I work at the Old Navy in the next town. Could I check my schedule at the Old Navy in my town? Or should I call and ask for my schedule? (Yesterday was my first day, not sure what to do). Thanks!

Answer: I'm a bit confused by your question, because I work at Old Navy and I get my schedule emailed to me every week. I'm assuming you get your schedule at work though? If so, I doubt that the old navy that you don't work at would have your schedule.

What Are The Differences Between Old Navy And The Gap?

From Other - Beauty & Style Forum:

What are the differences between Old Navy and the Gap? s Old Navy just cheaper and meant for slightly younger people - like Holster is to Abercrombie? Or are there differences in quality of fabrics, price and style?

Answer: Old navy is a lot cheaper than the Gap. I think that the clothes at Gap are a lot cuter, and the quality of old navy's stuff isn't nearly as good.

How Long Does It Take To Ship From The Old Navy Stores?

From Fashion & Accessories Forum:

How long does it take to ship from the old navy stores? I want to buy a swimsuit from the old navy store. Does anyone know how long it will take to ship? I'm not buying from on line I am purchasing from the store and they will ship it to me.

Answer: We always say "7-10 days", but it almost never exceeds 5 days. Not sure how you were gonna make your purchase & ID if you're aware, but unfortunately you can't make a purchase from home. Old Navy does charge sends. The customer goes into their nearest ON store and asks the cashier to do a stock check by calling the store to find out what location has them. Whoever has the item will take info from you through the cashier to complete the purchase. $7 shipping charge also :/ ♥

How Should I Dress For An Interview With Old Navy?

From Other - Careers & Employment Forum:

How should I dress for an interview with Old Navy? Hello, I do like to shop at Old Navy, but it is on occasion. I was just wondering how I should dress for an interview with them. I've heard that its best to dress as how you would work there. But I'm the type that always wears a dress shirt with dress pants plus a tie. Just thought it might be a useful question.

Answer: I would say dress up. Wear a nice shirt (even better if its a shirt from Old Navy) - plus a pair of black pants and dressy shoes. This is dressier than their dress code - I'm pretty sure they wear jeans, but jeans just aren't appropriate for a job interview in my opinion. Black/grey pants and a nice shirt will look like you care and you are put together, but not over the top like wearing a suit or a very dressy outfit. I used to work for Victoria's Secret, which does have a fancier dress code than Old Navy, but they used to throw apps in the garbage if someone wearing shorts, everyday jeans, etc turned in an application. Also, I know they did expect applicants to be dressed up for interviews. For example, one time a girl came to an interview at our store with some very dressy dark jeans, cute high heel shoes and a dressy top - I personally thought she looked trendy and nice, however the managers said they wouldn't consider her because she came in jeans, and they wouldn't hire an applicant that would wear jeans to an interview.

How Warm Is Performance Fleece From Old Navy?

From Fashion & Accessories Forum:

How warm is performance fleece from Old Navy? I live in Michigan and the snow is fast approaching, I am trying to find my kids coats that will keep them warm and cozy, but I am on a limited budget. I see that Old Navy had something called Performance Fleece, but I wonder, is it warm enough? Would it be adequate in temperature ranges of 20 to 40 degrees days?

Answer: Fleece is warm, but not that warm. Your kids need coats, gloves and hats for MI winter. Outerwear is on sale at Old Navy THIS WEEK ONLY 11/9 Thur 11/15 - all styles are 40% off. I live in MI too and I also work at Old Navy. Old Navy's winter accessories are usually pretty cheap - the fleece hats/gloves/scarves are usually 2 for $10 when they are on sale, and they are on sale most of the winter. Old Navy cardholders will also save an additional 10% off when they use their card. (now Thur 11/15).

What'S The Difference Between Old Navy And Gap?

From Fashion & Accessories Forum:

What's the difference between Old Navy and Gap? I've heard many people say that they won't shop at The Gap because it's "dorky" or whatever their reason may be, but they have no problem shopping at Old Navy. It seems to me that both stores sell almost the same merchandise, after all, Old Navy IS owned by Gap. I don't shop at either of these stores, but I'm just curious, why is Old Navy so much better than Gap?

Answer: Old Navy, The Gap, and Banana Republic are all part of the same company. Old Navy is the cheapest then Gap then BR. It also has to do with age generally younger people shop at Old Navy and then as they get older they progress to the Gap and then to BR. It is all about appealing to people as they grow and mature, whee you shop depends what stage of life you are in.

What Is The Dress Code Like For Sales Associates At Old Navy? Do You Have To Only Wear Old Navy Clothes?

From Marketing & Sales Forum:

What is the dress code like for sales associates at Old Navy? Do you have to only wear Old Navy clothes? I have my second interview there next week and don't want to appear naive or stupid by asking about the dress code and if I have to wear only Old Navy clothing. Any help provided would be greatly appreciated!

Answer: Just ask. The rule is probably different at different stores. Just state that you know you need to fit the old navy "look" but you were curious if the clothes need to actually be old navy brand or if other similar clothes were acceptable. Threes nothing wrong with asking this!
