How Can I Extend A Deadline On Cancelled Flights With Orbitz? From Air Travel Forum:
How can I extend a deadline on cancelled flights with Orbitz? 6 Mont's ago I cancelled two flights with Orbits. As a result, I had to pay a $200.00 fee for each of the tickets. I get to keep the tick es, but I have a deadline to use them, they expire this October. I was wandering if anyone knew how to extend the deadline, so I don't lose the money. Can someone help me?
Answer: It is more than likely not Orbits you need to ask for an extension, but the airline. You could try re booking the flights and then cancelling them again. Of course, you'd have to pay the penalty again, but depending on how much the value of the tickets are, it may be worth it. You'd then have another year from the date of issue.
What'S The Best Way To Reschedule My Flight On Delta That I Purchased Through Orbitz? From Air Travel Forum:
What's the best way to reschedule my flight on Delta that I purchased through Orbitz? So a week after I booked a flight to Jamaica for this next August, my friend invited me to be a groomsman in his wedding and I need to change my return flight. I bought the flight through Orbits and the flight is with Delta airlines. What's the best way to go about re-booking the flight to avoid as many fees as possible?
Answer: You don't have a whole lot of options. You will have to call Orbits and request the change since they own the reservation. They will probably charge you a change fee plus any change in airfare since the time of booking.
What Do I Need To Print Off Orbits For My Flight? From Air Travel Forum:
What do I need to print off Orbits for my flight? I'm flying internationally for the first time in years. I purchased my ticket on Orbits, and can easily access all my flight information on the site. However, I don't see a clearly labeled boarding pass or ticket - I just have the option of printing out my receipt and flight information. What will I need to bring with me to the airport when I depart? Is that receipt enough? Thanks!
Answer: The receipt should be plenty. All you really need is the airline "record locate code" or "confirmation number" or "reference code", and that should be on the receipt, or on the website's listing of your reservation. It's a 6-character code, a combination of letters and numbers, like JEFFIE. This is not the same as the reservation number or trip ID issued by Orbits. Actually, for the most part, your passport is generally sufficient; the person at the check in counter can look up your reservation using your name. You'll get your boarding pass there as well.
How Long After Pu chase Can I Cancel A Plane Tick From Orbitz? From Air Travel Forum:
How long after purchase can I cancel a plane tick from Orbitz? Hi. I bought a kinda pricey plane ticket from orbits about 36 hours ago, and now I can't make the trip. They have a confusing thing that says I can click to cancel the ticket, but also says it is fully nonrefundable. So what happens when I chose to cancel? Do I get any money back, or just free up the seat on the plane? I contacted them, but waiting for response, wondered if anyone here has done that. thanks!
Answer: Fully nonrefundable sounds to me like you are going to cancel, free up space on the plane and not get anything in return. However the rules of your particular ticket may allow certain cancellations with refunds. To read the rules and restrictions of your ticket: 1. Go to My Trips within Orbitz's website. 2. Click "View full trip details" button 3. Click "fare rules", "change fees" and "terms and conditions" in the Ticket Information section at the bottom of the page Good luck!
How Good Is The Travel Insurance Plan Offered By Orbitz? From Packing & Preparation Forum:
How good is the Travel Insurance Plan offered by Orbitz? I want to go ahead and book a ticket for a flight that's several weeks off. The problem is I might need to change the date or even cancel it all together. How good is the Travel Insurance Plan offered by Orbitz? Will I be able to get the majority of my money back if I decide to change my flight or cancel it? Any small print to watch out for?
Answer: There are ways that you could get your money back, but orbits and most other companies that offer this option, limit themselves to covered reasons, IE urgent medical reasons, travel company goes bust, etc.. Only by booking the policy and selecting full protection will you received full t&c's. I would add that simply deciding not to go, is probably not a reason that would be accepted, and changing flights would be outside the policy, and you would probably need to pay a fee to the airline (not Orbitz) to change flights.
How Does Orbits And Expedite Get Airline Flight Info? Do They Have To Pay For This Information? ?From Other - Destinations Forum:
How does orbits and expedite get airline flight info? Do they have to pay for this information? ? I would like to start a site like orbits and travesty. I just don't know how to retrieve flight and booking info. Is this information that I would have to pay for? There are lots of sites that allow one to search for tickets and such, so I would imagine its free. Any help on how to get started would be appreciated!
Answer: You cant just start a website to sell travel. You must have some sort of a travel sellers id such as ARC (what is needed to sell airline tickets and ticket) The sites you mentioned ticket their tickets so they are signed up with the airlines to be able to do this. There are several other sellers id you can be affiliated with CL IA cruise line international association, TRUE this is a sellers id that is used for those that are not affiliated with any of the others. This number is issued through IA TA, but it does not give you the perks that IA TAN does. There are a lot of different options and each have different requirements. You also have to register with your state depending on what state you live in. There are a few that require a seller of travel license. There are also a few states you have to register separately like FL and CA so that you

How Doe Places Like Orbits, And Travesty Get Rates So Cheap? From Other - Destinations Forum:
How doe places like orbits, and travesty get rates so cheap? I went to a certain hotel website in the city I'm looking to stay and its 99 a night, orbits says I can book for only 69 a night. How do they get the rates so cheap?
Answer: It's called vendor contracts. It's not just limited to orbits or travesty, All travel business work the same, whether it is on line or a traditional travel business in your city. All of them have vendor contracts with hotels, motels, airlines, etc. Most of those deals are for a limited numbers of rooms that they are allowed to sell at a discount. If you miss the opportunity to grab that cheap rate, then you are out of luck. But that's why you want to compare prices! I suggest checking out as many site as you can before booking any kind of travel.
