Answer: if you don't have a credit card, then you need to have a verified pay pal account. To do that, you need to click on "verify account" in the account system. They will send a very small transaction to your bank account (two actually) which will be used to verify that you in fact have access to your bank account. In other words, you will go to your bank and get a statement. It will have two pay pal additions to your account. Log back in to pay pal and give them the exact amounts of the two transactions. That verifies to them that you have access to the account. Then you can transfer money to and from your bank account to pay pal. It takes 24-48 hours per transaction I believe, and it is free. If security concerns you, consider this: Pay pal is a FDIC insured banking system. Having a pay pal account is the same as having a bank account with on line banking. Using their system is as secure as using the system at your bank. The only security issue they have is that some people use "phishing" scams to get your password by emailing spoof emails that LOOK like pay pal but are not. All you have to do if you are emailed something from pay pal is do NOT click on any link. Close the email, open a browser and log in to pay pal directly.
