Pottery Barn Reindeer Collection - Door Buster For Black Friday?
From Other - Home & Garden Forum:Pottery Barn Reindeer Collection - door buster for Black Friday? I was wondering if anyone knew what the door buster for the Pottery Barn Reindeer Collection will be this year - and which items it has been in the past. I am curious if the gravy boat or butter dish were limited to the day after Thanksgiving in previous years since they are so rare, so valuable, and they have not been reissued. If no one knows anything about this, does anyone know of a "underground" website dedicated to the Pottery Barn Reindeer Collection? Thanks so much!
Answer: Pottery barn has never had a door buster for the Reindeer Collection... actually they never have had a door buster ever. The butter dish and gravy boat were only issued one year it wasn't just a "Thanksgiving" limited edition.
Is Furniture From Pottery Barn Furniture Worth The Money?
From Decorating & Remodeling Forum:Is furniture from Pottery Barn furniture worth the money? I am thinking of buying bedroom furniture from Pottery Barn. Is it made well and worth the price that is charged?
Answer: I think when it comes to the price, you are paying for the name. However, just from personal experience, it is some of the highest quality furniture you can buy. Also, when you are considering PB, there really is no other way to get the "Pottery Barn Look." The fabrics are wonderful. You can order samples on their site.
Does Anyone Know Where I Can Find The Pottery Barn Kids Peter Rabbit Nursery Bedding?
From Other - Pregnancy & Parenting Forum:Does anyone know where I can find the pottery barn kids peter rabbit nursery bedding? I love the peter rabbit nursery bedding from pottery barn but it's been discontinued! I have been looking all over the Internet for it eBay, etc. I would like to purchase the whole set not just sheets. If anyone could help it would be wonderful.
Answer: I have also been looking for it! I saw the quilt on sale in a Pottery Barn Kids store last year and I am so mad that I didn't get it. I assumed it would turn up on eBay in abundance. Anyway, I will keep looking and let you know if I find it anywhere. It was just gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! Okay, I just found out that Pottery Barn Kids is going to continue and expand the Beatrix Potter line in Spring of 2011. I called the store in Ohio and they say that management has no knowledge of this development but somehow that does not sup rise me. Hopefully the Peter Rabbit crib bedding will be the same since there is no way to improve on the perfection of this set.

From Decorating & Remodeling Forum:I enjoy home decor in Pottery barn catalog but its simply expensive. Can anyone recommend an affordable catalog? I receive Pottery Barn catalogs for home and holiday decor and Teens bedrooms but their prices are outrageous! I prefer shopping on line or from catalogs but looking for similar items as Pottery Barn offers but reasonable in cost. Can anyone recommend any good catalogs and websites?
Answer: Target and even K-mart sometimes offer similar but cheaper products. They were actually sued not so long ago for selling decor in their stores that resembled Pottery Barns stuff. Also, you might want to consider looking on e-bay or Amazon marketplace, as they do have really good knock-offs and original Pottery barn products there at reasonable prices- good luck! Can Anyone Tell Me About The Pottery Barn In-Home Consultation?
From Decorating & Remodeling Forum:Can anyone tell me about the pottery barn in-home consultation? My wife and I love the Pottery Barn furniture and are considering doing a free in-home consultation. Has anyone done this? Is it just one big sales pitch and a waste of time? To be perfectly honest, we want a little help decorating and don't fully want to commit to a decorator. This seems like a good option for us.
Answer: I will tell you about ALL In Home Design consultations - I have implemented them in stores & executed them for over 30 years now...in fact, I am one of the innovators. Is it a sales pitch??? Of COURSE it is!!! THEY WANT YOUR BUSINESS, SILLY!!! HOWEVER - in my experience, a good designer not only wants your business (the suits want it more than the designer does), but they want you to be...HAPPY. They want you to enjoy your environment, they don't want you to waste your money, & they want you to refer them to other people. So here's the thing - if you don't feel committed to giving Pottery Barn your business, then PLEASE don't waste this person's time & effort. Designing for a client is time-consuming & hard work, so don't use them. Most people in retail furniture do not get paid (100% commission pay) Inessa they sell something, so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't pick their brains & walk away. Now - that doesn't mean that you absolutely have to buy if you don't like the plan, but if you love their furniture, then I don't see why you wouldn't want to buy. Most designers in furniture stores are very talented & even certified. But I hope you connect with a designer who truly has a talent of communication & interpreting what you want with what he/she presents to you. You have the option of tweaking things & saying "I don't like this" - but work with them. And keep an open mind to design - they are professionals guiding you in an area you have no experience with as far as scale & balance & visual space. You would want to be given respect in the field that you are in, right??? BTW...I don't work for Pottery Barn...now or ever.

Has Anyone Found A White Paint That Matches The White Pottery Barn Office Furniture?
From Decorating & Remodeling Forum:Has anyone found a white paint that matches the white pottery barn office furniture? I purchased the touch up pen at Pottery Barn but it doesn't match so am looking for a spray paint to cover deep scratches.
Answer: Ask Sherwin Williams. If you have a S/W store around you, take them a drawer or a piece of the furniture, they can computer match the color, they also ( some stores) have the ability to put the paint in a type of spray can. Contacting the manufacture is best for an exact match. Last resort is get the best match and paint the whole piece, spray if possible.
Does Anyone Know What Pottery Barn Does With Its Unsold Furniture Or Last Seasons?
From Decorating & Remodeling Forum:Does anyone know what Pottery Barn does with its unsold furniture or last seasons? I recently saw an armourer in the Pottery Barn website that I wanted. I searched again yesterday and it was gone?
Answer: Pottery Barn, Pier One, even department stores sell overstock to Overstock.com, Big Lots, Ross, Mars halls, Home Goods Stores, Tuesday Morning, etc. So keep an eye out and check the stores regularly because most of the time you can find that out of season or discontinued merchandise at 60-70% off retail.
