Answer: Radio Shack has agreements with companies like Verizon and can almost always set the plan up correctly in store (and access your account to know that you are eligible). They couldn't correctly handle porting a number from one company to another, but that's more complicated. If you are not an official authorized user on the account, it's probably easiest if you bring the authorized user along. Either way, you'll likely need the Verizon account number and such.

What are radio shacks early termination fees? I bought two Mobile Sam sung vibrant from radio shack near the end of July almost two years ago. We have about four months left in our family contract (two people). Does radio shack have early termination fees? If so what are they given the time left in my contract? Answer: Just call up a local Radio Shack and ask. The EFT will really depend on the plan and phone you got at the time. MOST of the time the EFT is for a set number of months just to keep you from changing plans to a cheaper plan, but sometimes it's for the full length of the contract. May or may not be pro-rated and may also be on TOP of the carrier's EFT (yup a double EFT, one from Radio Shack and one from your cell phone carrier). So that is something else you will want to look into. Also check your paper contract that you got at the time you got the phones, that will spell out exactly what your EFT may or may not be at this time from both the Carrier and Radio Shack.

Answer: Radio Shack started as a place for hobbyists, ham radio, electronics, and eventually computers. They moved their model to malls and more consumer goods, IE Cell Phones, TVs, BUT still cater (to some degree) to the home hobbyist. My opinion is that they are making money by the cell phone credits they get (remember they are national and sell a LOT of phones), plus a few bucks on batteries, answering machines, etc. I, like your husband, dint like to shop there unless it is something I think that only they will carry locally, like electronic components (resistors, boards, switches) because I think they are overpriced on everything else. CompUSA went under because they just couldn't compete with Best Buy. They had little to no technical support, a limited inventory and very expensive locations, usually in strip malls. They just didn't make any right moves in the last 10 years to keep them competitive, and neglected to make money in services like the Geek Squad does.

Answer: I do recommend zip-zaps,they are fun,you can find engine upgrades for them as well. They are also ALTO cheaper than x-mods.Diffrent radio-shacks sell diff rent bodies,kits etc. They are fun,you play with them,when they go dead put them on top of the controller and they charge.Takes about 1 min or less.Radio-shack sometimes have diff rent bodies.They get new shipments with diff rent bodies.There are also monster trucks that are 4 wheel drive and go on carpet.
