Is it really fair to expect Rhianna to be the perfect role model? I saw on Oprah that lots of people are upset with Rhianna for getting back with Chris Brown after the alleged beat down. But honestly, is it fair of us to think that needs to be a role model for millions of young girls and to be able to walk away from this? She is young and she is a normal human being, even with all the glamor in her life. Even the strongest of women have trouble leaving an abusive relationship because of the emotional and psychological abuse that is often involved. What do you think?

Answer: It's funny the way people are answering this as if getting out of an abusive relationship is just so simple. I have never been in an abusive relationship before, but I think I can sympathize with the women who are in them, including Rhianna. I'm not quite sure how long they've been together, but it's obvious she was in love with him, and like you said, there are more emotional and psychological things that make it extremely hard to just walk away. I don't know how people just don't get that, but let me ask them this: if it really was that easy, why would there still be thousands and millions of women still in abusive relationships? Yes, she is a role model for Young girls, but this is solely her life. this is something that is so serious you can't expect her to be keeping her composure and putting her fans first; this is a deep psychological issue she will have to deal with. In the end, everyone will agree that abuse is wrong. but honestly at this point the young fans of Rhianna will have to understand that it just isn't that easy. the only person getting truly hurt here is Rhianna, and for that reason it should be accepted that she is allowed to make her own decisions. Honestly, it can't be required of her to make such huge decisions while trying to make everyone happy; she is a human being and that comes first. Although I do not agree with Rihanna's decision to stay in this relationship, I don't blame her for it or for upsetting so many people. she will need to figure this thing out herself, and everyone should be giving her blessings and support through all of this.
