How Does A Travel Agency Work?

From Other - Destinations Forum:

How does a travel agency work? I am a college student, but I want to take a nice trip with some people this coming November. I am looking at the Southwest Airlines vacations and I was wondering about a travel agency, how do they work? Do you really get good deals? Or are you paying extra for having someone do all the work for you?

Answer: Whenever I've used a travel agent, I've either paid the advertised rates or below them. That goes for both airfare and hotel rooms. In fact, when we went to Aruba in March we saved $700 on the hotel by booking through a travel agent.

How Much Would A Trip To Disneyland Cost?

From Amusement Parks Forum:

How much would a trip to Disneyland cost? We live in the bay area and I was wondering how much it cost. I tried using the website but it kept having an error. So if we (2 people over 18) fly to LA and stay at Disneyland, we will need a hotel and stay for 3 days and fly back, how much would it be? Thank you :)

Answer: There are so many variables that it's impossible to answer your question. When are you going? Certain times of year are "high season," meaning that hotels are much more expensive. Flights are less expensive during the week than on weekends, as well. I don't suggest flying into LA (LAX) as it's much further than the Orange County Airport (SNA). What type of hotel do you want to stay at? There's everything from flea-ridden motels for $45 per night to five-star luxury for $500 per night. The only expense that won't change is your Park hopper pass. These are currently $199 each for a three-day pass. Try the Southwest Airlines Vacations website - they have some reasonably priced packages. Be sure to research hotels first! Hotels on Harbor Blvd. are closest to the park entrance.
