Can I Change My Sprint Cell Phone Number To A Different Sprint Phone? From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:
Can I change my Sprint cell phone number to a different Sprint phone? I bought a Sprint Blackberry Pearl on line at EBay. I have a Sprint Razor, but it is an incredibly slow phone. I want to know if I can transfer my current Sprint number to my new Blackberry even though I didn't buy it at the Sprint store.
Answer: Absolutely, provided it wasn't previously reported lost or stolen. Call Sprint Customer Service (1-888-211-4727) from a different line (not the phone you're switching to or from) and tell the rep you want to do an "ESN swap." This is free of charge and usually takes about 5 minutes to complete (doesn't matter where you got the phone). You should be prepared with the serial number to provide, which is the number on the back of the Blackberry behind the battery. It might be labeled "ESN DEC" or "IMEI" and it's all-numeric. If you have trouble locating that, just call and they will help. The rep will then walk you through programming the phone to get it activated. Also let them know if you wanted to add a Blackberry plan, and you can also insure the phone if you want, even if it's from eBay.
Is It Possible To Flash A Sprint Phone S To Cricket Or Another Carrier In General? From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:
Is it possible to flash a sprint phone S to cricket or another carrier in general? If a sprint phone has a bad ens, is it possible to have it flashed to another carrier? I've looked on line and had received mixed answers. Specifically I'm curious about if it could be flashed to cricket or what carriers it could be flashed to. What are other CD MA carriers?
Answer: I am not sure about cricket but as far as I know, the phone S from Sprint can be flash to use with other coma carriers. Many of my friends they did it already. Wish u luck
Can I Start An Account With Sprint, Using My Cell Phone From Another Carrier? From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:
Can I start an account with Sprint, using my cell phone from another carrier? Was told by a local Sprint vendor that my Verizon phone couldn't be used if I switched to the Sprint vendor for cell phone service, IE. I'd need to get a Sprint phone. Is that >> really true << ? Thanks!
Answer: No you cannot. Yes they are both CD MA devices but a Sprint device and Verizon device have different network settings coded into the software. On some Blackberry's they can be edited to match those of Sprint but this is not recommended nor will a Sprint representative scan your ens from a Verizon phone into their system. I would stick to your Verizon service or take advantage of getting a phone at discount with Sprint if you are signing with them.
How Does It Work To Change From Sprint Plan To Nestle Plan And Phone? From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:
How does it work to change from Sprint plan to Nestle plan and phone? I am currently under sprint power pack plan or something like that, but I have 4 months until my agreement expires, I currently would like to change to a Nestle plan and new phone. Would the new 2 year agreement just be added to my account? I'm trying not to pay the $200 cancellation fee if possible, any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advanced!!
Answer: Every time you upgrade to a new phone or newly activate a new phone with Sprint or Nestle, you get $150 off the SRO. If you haven't had your Sprint phone more than 22 months, you will pay a little more for the Nestle phone. You can definitely do it though. Well, at most stores. It also depends on what market you are in. You will have to take this question to your local Sprint/Nextel rep.
Why Does Sprint Offer A Bigger Discount To New Customers Than They Do To Returning Customers? From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:
Why does Sprint offer a bigger discount to new customers than they do to returning customers? While I was in the market for looking at a new cell phone, I noticed that Sprint was offering a larger discount to new customers than returning. Also, anybody know what new Windows Mobile phones will be out through November 2009 through January 2010? Please do not tell me to get the Palm Prue or any other Palm or Blackberry, those are not my style.
Answer: well, they want to advertise to customers that dint know the name as well b/c you have already used sprint, they are already a viable source for your mobile service so they dint pour as much $$ into advertising to keep customers that's why they have huge discounts on phones which you sign a contract
How Can I Switch Between A Sprint Galaxy S Iii And An Phone 5?From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:
How can I switch between a Sprint Galaxy S III and an Phone 5? My mom is planning on moving to Sprint and I get to pick my phone, but I like both the Phone 5 and the Galaxy S III. My mom plans to get the phone and I plan the galaxy but is there any way we can trade Sim cards so I can use the phone for a while??? Please help!
Answer: The phone 5 has a SIM card (for use on GM networks outside of the USA) and the Galaxy does not use a SIM card at all. Sprint is a CD MA provider so SIM cards don't do a thing on their network. You can choose one or the other or buy both.

Is It Safe To Pay My Bills On line With Bill pay Using My Sprint Wireless Broadband Connection At Home? From Other - Internet Forum:
Is it safe to pay my bills on line with Bill pay using my Sprint wireless broadband connection at home? I recently purchased a Sprint wireless broadband Sierra air card and would like to get rid of my dial-up connection (home phone) and just use this and my cell as my communication. I just need to know how safe it would be to use my Bill pay option at my bank to pay bills using this connection. I have always paid my bills using the dial-up connection without any security issues. Please advise... Thanks!
Answer: Using broadband service from SPRINT is almost the same as using broadband from DAL or cable. The problem you may face is how secure your PC is. If your PC is infected it doesn't matter what you use to transmit. These are best practices to protecting your computer/laptop: - Perform monthly updates of Microsoft patches - Perform daily updates of your Anti-Virus/Firewall program(s) - Perform daily updates to your Anti-Spyware and Ad ware program(s) - Perform a weekly scan of your hard-disk for viruses/spyware Best of all know your computer. When you are connecting on a wireless network - You see your hard-drive flashing solid green and you are not doing anything. Your computer/laptop may be infected. Have two separate lo gins on your computer. One with admin rights and another with regular rights. Always use the lo gin with the regular rights. If someone hacks in during your session. The hacker is limited to the account with regular rights and can't do much. Always have a backup of your computer/laptop for restore purposes. At the end it is up to you. Never visit sites that you don't recognized and don't trust your Emails. Always take it with a grain of salt. Windows Defender http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx Good Luck!
I Have Sprint Should I Switch To Verizon Or Art For Cheaper Family Plan? From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:
I have Sprint should I switch to Verizon or ART for cheaper family plan? I'm planning to switch from Sprint to either Verizon or ART. In Sprint I had unlimited messaging plan which includes unlimited texts and 1500 minutes. I really dint use the phone to talk so the minutes really dint matter. In sprint I was paying $110 with 3 lines. Would it be worth it switching? I'm looking for the cheapest family plan? No data needed as long as it has unlimited testing. Thank You 10 points for best answer.
Answer: Verizon and AT&T are the same for monthly prices. Both are more expensive than Sprint. Your already on the cheapest provider out there, stick with them if saving money is the goal. If however your focus is on getting better service, perhaps consider switching. AT&T has the Phone and will be a little cheaper once you factor in all the little fees the Verizon charges. BUT on the other hand, Verizon has better reception and less dropped calls. Pick your poison.
