The artists you listed have some really great songs and you should sing something that really emphasizes your talents and makes you stand out from the rest of the competitors. I'm sure you already have a favorite song...I mean if your picking from one of these artists I'm sure people will like it because these are the "trending" styles of music...so basically you should sing something that you're comfortable with. In some cases however, its not always about picking the song you like, but picking the song that will receive the best reaction from your audience. Honestly, I would stray away from overplayed radio hits, because it might not be as exciting. I would recommend introducing a new genre, a new artist, or even a new style of music/song to your school. You are obviously a good singer, so why not challenge yourself? Why pick a song that is ordinary when you could try something extraordinary? In retrospect you could sing anything from Elvis Presley to Madonna to Michael Jackson. When you're talented you should never limit yourself according to the current trends. No matter what song you chose you should also interpret it, make it your own...find the story behind it. Depict the story within the song, use props, create a dance, or invent your own way of making your performance even more exciting. Anyways, good luck!
