How To Switch A USPS Domestic Money Order To An International Money Order?
From Personal Finance Forum:How to switch a USPS domestic money order to an international money order? I accidentally purchased a USPS domestic money order and the recipient needed an international money order. The Pay To: was filled out with his name and he is sending it back. Will USPS be able to easily change this for me?
Answer: That can be done as long as you have the receipt portion of the Spoiled MO. Basically what will happen is that you will endorse and cash out the MO, then use that money to purchase the correct MO. You may not be able to get an Int'l MO because there are not really a lot of countries that will accept one from USPS. Your clerk will be able to tell you that.

How Does USPS Work Because I Ordered Something Offline?
From Other - Business & Finance Forum:How does USPS work because I ordered something offline? I ordered a pair of shoes and I tracked it from USPS and I was just wondering will USPS deliver my shoes to my door or will they give it 2 ups or fed-ex to deliver to my door?
Answer: They will deliver to your door. UPS and FEDEX are independent shipping services and do not deal with the United States Postal Service (USPS). The only question is if there is a signature confirmation that will be needed to complete the delivery. If you or someone is not home to sign they will leave a notice in your mailbox as to where it was left (possibly with a neighbor). More likely they will enter a post office you can retrieve it at or that they will make a second attempt for delivery. After 3 attempts at delivery they will probably return it to the sender.
How Can I Inexpensively Send A Large Package To Europe Other Than Using Usps?
From Other - Business & Finance Forum:How can I inexpensively send a large package to Europe other than using USPS? USPS stopped shipping surface (per ship) and it has become ridiculously expensive to send packages to Germany using airmail. Does anyone know of an alternative way to mail packages to Germany via ways of surface?
Answer: You are pretty much stuck with the U.S. post office, because all other international package shippers like UPS, Fed Ex, DH are also all air shipments and their costs are even higher than USPS. If you happen to ship books you could use the USPS M-bag and that is considerably cheaper. There are international freight forwarders, but they deal with shipments weighing in the hundreds or thousands of pounds.

What Does A USPS Complaint Form Do For Lost Mail?
From Other - Local Businesses Forum:What does a USPS complaint form do for lost mail? I've recently lost a package I sent via USPS. I have sent in a lost item description form and I heard they will forward that letter to every post office who might have handled my package and hopefully find the package but it's taking too long and I still ha vent received any information about my item. I am planning to fill out a complaint form but I dint know what that will do for my package. What will the complaint form do for my lost package?
Answer: There are no longer any hard copy forms for making inquiry about a lost package, nor for making complaints. These activities are done on line now. A report can be made about a missing package, no sooner than 14 days after the date of mailing. You can do that here. http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MLNtRcvd.aspx If you were given a form to fill out, you were done a disservice. As I said, the paper form was made obsolete more than 2 years ago. If you wish to contact the USPS about a problem, or to make a complaint, you would do that here. https://hdusps.esecurecare.net/cgi-bin/hdusps.cfg/php/enduser/ask.php?p_sid=vGzdfrcj&xssl=1
10 Points: What Is The Difference Between USPS Priority Mail International And USPS Standard?
From Other - Business & Finance Forum:10 points: What is the difference between USPS Priority Mail International and USPS Standard? What is the difference between USPS Priority Mail International and USPS Standard? I am from Canada and ordered something from the U.S. (Michigan). Which is the better method, and why? Thanks in advance, and 10 points to the best answer.
Answer: By "Standard", I am assuming that you are referring to USPS First-Class Mail International. The main difference between this method and USPS Priority International is speed, and Priority is the faster mail class with a transit time of ~6-10 days. To touch on the comment regarding weight from the other answer, it is true that heavier items cannot be shipped using First-Class Mail International as there is a weight restriction of 4 lbs. However, for items under 4 lbs, First-Class or Priority can be used. First-Class it more economical, but Priority typically has faster delivery times. Given Michigan's geographical location, there may not necessarily be much a difference between the two mail classes depending on where in Canada they are shipped to. Chuck Stamps.com
What Is The Fastest Way To Mail A Local Letter Via Usps?
From Packing & Preparation Forum:What is the fastest way to mail a local letter via USPS? What is the fastest way to mail a local letter via USPS? I need to mail a thank you letter, is there any way to get same day delivery? I can drive to the destination town and drop it off at the mailbox outside of the post office before the post office is even open or I could wait until they open and do it in person.. If I did that would it be delivered same day?
Answer: Deliver it yourself if you're going to the destination town. Just don't touch the mailbox, put the letter behind a storm door or something. There is no same-day delivery service in USPS. Private couriers are very expensive. All mail dropped at a post office drop box is collected and taken to a regional sorting facility. There is no more 'local sorting' of mail.
Usps Delivered My Insured Express Mail To The Wrong Address And They Won'T Admit The Package Is Lost?
From Other - Business & Finance Forum:USPS delivered my insured express mail to the wrong address and they won't admit the package is lost? USPS delivered my insured express mail to the wrong address and they won't admit the package is lost. I already filed for an insurance claim, but haven't heard back from them for a few weeks already. What else can I do?
Answer: Nothing. At least that's what the postmaster told me when I went to the post office to complain. The package was sent with delivery confirmation and the mail carrier marked that the package was delivered. It wasn't delivered to our house and we were home all day that day! Seems like the USPS loses a lot more mail that I ever imagined!
