What Is Your Favorite V.C Andrews Books And Why?

From Books & Authors Forum:

What is your favorite V.C Andrews books and why? I just love V.C Andrews and I wanted to know the favorites of everybody else. My favorites are the Rain series, Flowers in the Attic series, Wildflowers series, Delia's series, and so man more that I can't really remember. what about you?

Answer: I haven't read anything but Flowers in the Attic, but I enjoyed it. I like how twisted her material is, how she'll even go as far to include incestuous themes -- I have a flair for disturbing material -- and all the hell she'll put her characters through. Some authors treat their characters like they're living and hate to put them through anything disastrous, so I find it admirable how Andrews will do so.

Answer: OK, If you have not read these series, you must! If you have already read Twilight and Sickie Stack house series, I will leave those off my list. (They always top my favorites list) Next favorites... Anita Blake Series by Laure ll Hamilton. Similar to Sickie stack house series but more action. Main character is in her mid 20's. Vampire Academy Series by Rochelle Meed. Perfect blend of action, suspense, heartbreak and romance... Honestly, I laughed, I squirmed, I cried, and I yelled... How many series make you that emotional?!!? The Main character is 17. House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. Main Character is 17. Once marked, she realizes that she is changing in to a vampire and must move to the House of Night (A high School of sorts for vampires). Has drama, action, romance, and suspense. I would also check out the Night world Series and Vampire Diary Series by L.J. Smith. Both are entertaining. Your age group would also enjoy the Vampire Kisses series by Ellen Schroeder. This is a little more for the younger age group. 12-15. Still entertaining.

I trust you're telling the truth when you say you're going to high school because Lisa Kelp's is for mature readers, and if you're at that age, that's a good age for you to read her work. Also, try Judith McKnight. Her novels would help you for you SA Ts be case she uses SUPERB vocabulary. Happy reading dear :)

Which Cain Saga Series Should I Start With?

From Comics & Animation Forum:

Which Cain Saga series should I start with? I was looking for books that were similar to V.C. Andrews and I came across Godchild. I went onto Amazon to purchase the first Godchild mange and I found out that there were more in The Cain Saga.Whenever I read a book or a Mange series I always have to start with the very first one. Which series should I start with?

Answer: Chronologically, The Cain Saga comes first. It consists of five volumes, though instead of a vol. 5, they have vol. 4 part 1 and 2. (Be careful!) Then comes Godchild, which is the next (and last, I believe) eight books of The Cain Saga. I'm not sure why they're separated into two different series, but it looks like The Cain Saga was written a few years before Godchild, as the style is much different. Personally, I started with Godchild because I didn't know about the others. You can read either series first if you like, but if you start with Godchild, there will be some references made to characters who were in The Cain Saga. So basically, The Cain Saga is first. I hope this helps!

Who Are The Real People Of Flowers In The Attic Book?

From Books & Authors Forum:

Who are the real people of Flowers In The Attic book? Flowers in the attic was a great book! I love V.C Andrews! I was just wondering, who are the real people of flowers in the attic?

Answer: Flowers in the Attic is probably NOT based on a true story. A relative of V.C. Andrews claimed she'd met a doctor once, who told her that he and his siblings had been locked in attic, as children, for six years in order to preserve the family's wealth. This third-hand story is all we have. http://completevca.com/bio_truestory.shtml
