If I Call A Verizon Wireless Phone From My Verizon Wireless Phone, Do I Have To Pay For Those Minutes?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

If I call a Verizon Wireless phone from my Verizon Wireless phone, do I have to pay for those minutes? I have a Verizon Wireless cell phone and so does my friend. I recall there being something like unlimited minutes between 2 Verizon phones. Does that work if they're not on my network?

Answer: As long as your price plan includes 450 minutes, then Verizon wireless to Verizon wireless is unlimited for you. If you have a single line plan that is for 300 Min's or a loyalty plan then it is not included. Keep in mind it is Verizon wireless to Verizon wireless not just any mobile to mobile call example...you have Verizon wireless and your friend has Mobile, it's a mobile to mobile call but it uses your Min's because its out of network.

How To Switch Phones With Verizon Without Paying An Outrageous Amount For It?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

How to switch phones with Verizon without paying an outrageous amount for it? Verizon is expensive. I got a palm centre. It sucks. No one told me that I would have extra fees for having a PAD. So now instead of my phone bill being $90 its $190. I want to change phones but can only get another one for full retail price. Where can I buy a phone that will work with Verizon? A reliable website perhaps? Or a store other than Verizon?

Answer: I would go to a Verizon store and have them go over your bill with you completely... If you are still within the first 30 days they have their satisfaction guarantee. They should be able to help you figure out your bill and get it into a reasonable range. I know some of the electronics stores (Car Toys around me) is constantly offering "new contract" pricing well before you are eligible through the carriers. But again Verizon should be able to help you get you bill a little closer to the $100 - $130 range.

How Does The Verizon Air card PC Work With The Anywhere Internet Access?

From Other - Internet Forum:

How does the Verizon air card PC work with the anywhere Internet access? How is the Verizon air card anywhere service? Does it matter which air card you buy for a Dell Laptop running XP? How WELL does it work, is it wort hing obtaining this card and service? Reliable? etc.. I work remotely so I'm wondering if it's good enough or better than a blackberry....

Answer: The signal kinda sucks but it works anywhere you go. Instead of using a personal router, you are using Verizon's satellite signal. Basically you will get Internet access wherever you go. Its good for people that are always on the go, but its expensive. Its like $60 a month compared to the $40 most people pay for DAL or cable.

How Do You Use A Verizon Phone To Use A Different Service Such As Cingular?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

How do you use a Verizon phone to use a different service such as Cingular? I know that Verizon doesn't use SIM cards. I was wondering if a Verizon phone can be cracked to be able to use another service. The model is Motorola, there is a slot for a SIM card but it would not fit any of mine

Answer: First off, because that Verizon Wireless phone is a CD MA phone, you're limited to CD MA carriers (Sprint being the only other national CD MA carrier). So, when you sign up for Sprint service, you'd have to ask them to accept that piece of non-Sprint equipment on their system. Try to take that CD MA phone to a GM carrier like AT&T and T-Mobile, and they'll REFLATE first, and then tell you they can't do it.

What Verizon Phones Could I Get As An Upgrade From The Blitz?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

What Verizon phones could I get as an upgrade from the blitz? It won't let me log into my Verizon so I can't find out. I want a phone that has a full keyboard, touch screen, and Wife capabilities, does anyone know what phones fit that description?

Answer: For U.S. Verizon, try to find them on line on Amazon Wireless, phone price start at penny. They're the most trusted store on line for a new 2-yr contract, upgrading phone, adding a line, and a replacement phone (no contract). You can narrow them by phone feature, such as QWERTY Keys, Touch Screen, Wi-Fi, etc. I found the Motorola Droid 2 and the LG Ally android phone, check out by yourself now. How To Activate A Verizon Phone For Free?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

How to activate a Verizon phone for free? I have a Verizon Envy and I want the voyager. I bought the voyager off someone and now I want to activate it. I also dint want to pay a activation fee so how do I go about doing that. I went on Verizon's website on line and it is asking for order numbers and location codes which I do not have. Should I just call them?

Answer: You have a couple options here. You can call customer service which is *611 from your Verizon phone or you can do it on line. Either way there is no activation fee. If you do it on line you need to pick activate a phone under the services tab in my Verizon. then you should have the option of activating new or existing equipment and you'd want to activate existing equipment

How Do I Change A Regular Verizon Cellphone Into A Prepaid Cell Phone?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

How do I change a regular Verizon cellphone into a prepaid cell phone? I have a Verizon cell phone that I really like but I have really bad credit so I can't have a plan through Verizon. Can I switch the phone into a prepaid phone instead?

Answer: Just call Verizon and they will activate ANY Verizon phone as a Prepaid phone. The only exception is if the phone has been on an account that owes money or was called in as stolen. This is considered a "bad esn" and Verizon will not active that phone on any account. Now, once you activate a Verizon phone on a Prepaid account, it cannot be used on a post paid (contract) account. They have no issue with a phone going from Post/Contract phone to Prepaid plan phone. So as long as the ens is good, which you will find out when you call, then you are set! What Are Some Good Verizon Keyboard Phones That Don'T Require The Internet Fee?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

What are some good Verizon keyboard phones that don't require the Internet fee? I am looking for a Verizon wireless keyboard phone that doesn't require the Internet monthly fee. If you have any good suggestions on phones please share, thank you!

Answer: Verizon Razzle Samsung Intensity LG Cosmos Pantech Jest These are the QWERTY phones that guarantee no data package The G Smart phones will (and no questions asked) will require at least a 29.99 data package The G Multimedia phones (like the Envy Touch) will "require" a data package if done via My Verizon, but customer service (at least the veterans) are aware it can be overridden for veteran customers. In fact, a data block feature was created after this data package situation ironically which can override the "requirement". The data package was created to avoid a history of complaints on megabyte charges on a customer's bill which can accidentally happen for playing with an advanced device, but a lot of veterans (through a live person and out of luck) can still obtain old, un-marketed features like a pay-by-rate feature (1.99 per MB) or Cast Park for $15 (VCast & unlimited MB but email is a separate $5 which is still cheaper than $29.99 package on Multimedia phones). One step better is to ask for the old Connect plan (if you have talk & text now) which is $10 more per line in the long run to have unlimited MB & email. (Note: Connect plan won't work on smartphones)

When Is The Go ogle Phone Coming To Verizon Wireless And Did It Already Come To Verizon Wireless?

From Cell Phones & Plans Forum:

When is the go ogle phone coming to Verizon Wireless and did it already come to Verizon Wireless? Did the go ogle phone come to Verizon Wireless? Is it the HT DROID ERIS and/or the MOTOROLA DROID? Are there several versions for the go ogle phone? Is the go ogle phone different for each cellphone network? How much is it? I heard that is was coming to Verizon Wireless in the spring but I am not sure. If you know anything, please answer. I really want to know when the go ogle phone is coming to Verizon Wireless and if it came out already.

Answer: At this time the HT Eris and Motorola Droid are the only Android based phones for Verizon and run the latest versions of the Android OS. The original Go ogle phone, the T-Mobile HT G, will probably never be released to another carrier because it can only run the first generation Android OS.
