Answer: Walgreen's is ANTI-UNION. Trust me, unions are bad anyways. Walgreen's has an open door policy & a 24 hr hot line so you do not need to join a union.

Answer: In order to be an assistant or store manager at Walgreen's you have to have a four year degree. it depends on the state how many hours. in California it's 40, in Illinois its 44. and it'll be difficult for them to work around u going to school at night cause they all have to work a certain about of nights. and u have to work 10 hour days. at least the Walgreen's I work for does.

Answer: yes you must go into the store to complete your application. Make sure to dress nicely (shirt tucked in etc) because you will be introduced to a manager. Believe me I am a Walgreen's manager, first impression is key. We literally have 100's of applicants a month, you need to stand out. What you will do is complete a basic skills assessment test (not hard). Upon completion of the skills test you will be in our database as a completed applicant. Advice I would give you is ask to speak to the STORE MANAGER (not assistant). If the store manager is not available then ask for his or her card. Give them a call about 2 days later and just tell them your name and how eager you are to work. We have a search function in our database and most likely they will search for you application first. Hours right now are tight in Walgreen's so anyway to stand out for a position is key. Good Luck

Answer: He ya, They do a Pee Test, I worked at Walgreen's for about a year and a half. They will not do it at the work though, they will make you go to a station to do the test. hope this helps! :)

Answer: it usually doesn't take more than a day or two for the drug test. I was also sent to do the drug test right after the interview. they should have called you by now. Walgreen's gets busy sometimes and we cant always answer the phones. just try calling a couple of times. the morning would be the best time to call, if that Walgreen's is anything like the one I work at. good luck..

Answer: You are thinking of a Pharmacy tech. My best friend is a head pharmacy tech at Walgreen's. She was trained by the company. And started off making 10 dollars an hour once certified. She also gets full benefits. It is definitely something to look into. It took approx. a year to be trained I believe. Go to your local Walgreen's and ask at the Pharmacy counter about training or applying. She works in a nice clean, well lit place and her only complaints are some customers who come in and complain about how they have to pay 10 dollars for a prescription for one of their 4 kids and then on their way out picks up a bottle of booze.

Answer: Simply convert them to .jpg format. Open each with your editing application (Picasa, or what have you) then to go File> Save as...> (from the small drop arrow under "file type") select .jpg> save. It may help if you create a desktop folder to put them in for easy access during the upload to Walgreen.
