When One Upgrades Windows Vista To Windows 7 Does It Allow You To Keep Windows Mail? From Software Forum:
When one upgrades windows vista to windows 7 does it allow you to keep Windows Mail? Windows Mail is the email program that comes with Windows Vista. It was the replacement to Outlook Express. I want to know if it is possible to keep windows mail if you are a Vista user , and all of its emails, mail rules and settings if one upgrades Vista to 7.
Answer: Windows 7 doesn't have a Windows Mail replacement built in. The closest you can get is Windows Live Mail (basically an upgraded version of Windows Mail), which can be downloaded from WNW.live.com. Here is how to transfer emails http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/3798-windows-live-mail-import-windows-mail-messages.html You can't transfer your account settings, but it's easy enough to get it set up again.

How Do I Reset Windows Explorer Window Sizes To Their Default Values Systemwide? From Other - Computers Forum:
How do I reset Windows Explorer window sizes to their default values systemwide? I have re sized a lot of windows in Windows Explorer. Now I need to reset all windows sizes to their default values. And not only Windows Explorer windows, but all the windows system wide, like Fire fox downloads window size and everything else.
Answer: You should close out of all, but one of each of these browsers, maximize the window, and then close it out. After you have done this, then open that browser, and it should be full screened as usual. Otherwise, there are settings in each browser to reset everything to default settings. But the first is the easiest, I do this daily, I usually have 3 browsers open full of tabs and multiple smaller windows.
What Is The Difference Between The Windows 7 Upgrade And Windows 7 Starter To Home Premium? From Software Forum:
What is the difference between the windows 7 upgrade and windows 7 starter to home premium? I have Windows Vista right now and want to upgrade and I saw both windows 7 and the windows 7 starter to home premium, but one is 30 dollars cheaper. Whats the difference between them?
Answer: The update is designed to turn Windows Vista into Windows 7. However you have to have the right upgrade version. You can only upgrade Vista Home to Win Home, Vista Pro to Win Pro, etc. The Win Starter to Win Home Premium requires you to already have Win Starter install (not Vista). It then upgrades it to Win Home Premium. It will not work a Vista install.
If I Upgrade From Windows P To Windows 7, Can I Choose To Erase Everything And Start Over? From Software Forum:
If I upgrade from Windows P to Windows 7, can I choose to erase everything and start over? Recently I obtained a Windows 7 disk and I want to update my hard drive. Can I choose to wipe EVERYTHING from my old Windows P and start all over? How can I?
Answer: To upgrade your PC from Windows P to Windows 7, you'll need to select the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. A custom installation doesn't preserve your programs, files, or settings. It's sometimes called a "clean" installation for that reason. A custom installation is more complex, and it can sometimes take a couple of hours to complete. We created this five-step tutorial to help guide you through the entire process each step of the way. What you need •An external hard disk. You'll need to move your files off of your PC before you install Windows 7. To make this easier, we recommend a free download called Windows Easy Transfer, which will require an external hard disk. They’re readily available at electronics and office supply stores, and they provide an easy way to add additional storage space to your computer. •The original installation discs or setup files for the programs that you want to use with Windows 7. You’ll need to reinstall your programs by hand after installing Windows 7. When you run Windows Easy Transfer you will get a report that lists the programs that you are currently using with Windows P.
What Happens To Old Windows When They Are Replaced? From Maintenance & Repairs Forum:
What happens to old windows when they are replaced? When old windows are taken out of houses and replaced, are they just thrown away? Would it be possible to get the old windows from a restoration or window replacement business for free? Thanks for your help!
Answer: Nobody ever buys used windows to be put in a house, so they aren't kept around for anything useful. Some window contractors donate good usable windows to resale shops for non-profit organizations. ( Habitat for humanity, Women's protective serve..etc..) they sale the used windows (and almost everything else) to fund their charities. I would suppose the best place to start would be contacting window replacement companies. 90% of the time they are just thrown out. I don't know why they wouldn't let you have them as long as it didn't require any extra effort or cost on their part. Hope this helped Good Luck!!

I want to replace five windows in my Town house and I just got an estimate of $800 per window installed. Is this too much for custom windows direct from local factory.
