Answer: MM... you can mark those messages as spam and never see them again. But I have to warn you, Yahoo! is partner with some companies and advertisements from those companies will be mark as "safe" and they won't go to the spam folder no matter how many times you mark them as a spam (for instance Dell, Circuit City and Target). I would suggest to ditch Yahoo! Mail and switch to Gm ail since it has more aggressive spam filters.

Spam Filter Spam Guard is ON [Turn Spam Guard OFF - What's this?] For messages Spam Guard identifies as Spam: 0 Immediately delete these messages upon receipt. (Note: If you choose this option, you will not be able to review the messages before they are deleted.) If you pick that option any mail you make as spam well be Immediately deleted. And well not be sent to the Spam or Trash folder PS. That is on the older versions of Yahoo Mail the newer (up-dated) one it set-up just a little different.
